This is the first in a series from photos I took at a Second Line in the French Quarter in New Orleans a long time ago and finally painting. It was almost a year post Katrina and things were looking much better! The New Orleans vibe and culture never really left, but it was definitely back in full force that Sunday afternoon. The band members switch out over the years, but this brass band of young men can always be seen playing for the crowds around the French Quarter.
